A big thanks to everyone in the Cali Move community. Over the last few months, we’ve received a ton of feedback from you about the new app, and we’ve been listening closely. That’s why today we’re bringing you a new update packed with the exact improvements you asked for the most, and which are super important to us too.
And a little spoiler upfront: This is just the beginning! We’re already working behind the scenes on a lot of new things and a huge update that will take your training to a whole new level. Stay tuned!
But for now, let’s dive into the current update. Check out the overview below to see exactly what has improved for you starting today:

What’s New in the Cali Move App
Over the past months, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback. Many of the improvements in this update come directly from suggestions made by the Cali Move community.
Below you’ll find an overview of the latest improvements, along with comparisons showing how things worked before and how they work now.
Clearer Workout Scheduling
To make the training schedule easier to understand, we simplified how workout days are managed inside the app.
Before

Previously, the app included an option called “Edit Workout Days.” This setting did not directly determine how many workouts you would receive each week. Instead, it defined the maximum number of days the app was allowed to schedule workouts.
Because of this, many users expected the feature to work differently and found it confusing.
Now

To avoid misunderstandings, the “Edit Workout Days” option has been removed. Workout scheduling now works directly through the training flow.
If you want to train earlier or add a session, simply open the next workout and use Reschedule to move it to today.
If you want to delay a planned workout, you can simply skip it for the day. If a scheduled workout is not completed, the app will automatically move it to the next day.
This keeps scheduling simple while still allowing you to easily adjust your training days when your schedule changes.
Exercise Videos with Navigation Controls
Understanding the correct technique is essential for safe and effective training.
Before

Exercise demonstrations were available inside the app, but the videos only included basic Play and Pause controls. If you wanted to review a specific part of the movement again, you had to watch the entire video from the beginning, since there was no way to jump to a specific moment.
Now

Exercise videos now include navigation controls. You can pause, move forward or backward, and review specific moments of the movement whenever you need.
This makes it much easier to analyze technique and better understand how each exercise should be performed.
A New “News for You” Section
We’ve added a new way for you to stay informed about everything happening inside the Cali Move ecosystem.
Before

The feed mainly displayed your upcoming workouts and training content.
Now

The feed now includes a “News for You” section, where you’ll see updates about the app, new features, improvements, and other important announcements from the Cali Move team.
If the News section is not visible, it simply means there are currently no new updates to display. Once new announcements or improvements are available, they will appear there automatically.
This way you’ll always stay up to date directly inside the app.
Edit Your Personal Data Anytime
Your training experience is personalized based on the information you provide.
Before

Personal information such as weight, height, and other profile data could be viewed, but not easily updated inside the app.
Now

You can edit your personal data directly from the Profile section. This includes details such as your weight, height, and other personal information.
Keeping this information up to date helps ensure your training experience stays accurate and personalized.
Update Your Onboarding Information
We’ve also added the ability to update the information you entered during the onboarding process.
Before

The information entered when setting up the app could not easily be changed afterward.
Now

You can access and update your onboarding data directly from your Profile settings. If you made a mistake during setup, you can now easily correct it.
This makes it easier to keep your training setup accurate.
New Subscription Options: Basic and Pro
We’ve updated the subscription structure to make managing your training plans and billing much simpler.
Before

Previously, the app offered two separate subscriptions that could be purchased independently. Users could subscribe to one program or to both at the same time.
This sometimes made subscription management more complicated. For example, the two subscriptions could start at different times, leading to overlapping billing cycles and making it harder to keep track of renewals or switch plans.
Now

The subscription system has been simplified. The app now offers one subscription at a time, with two options to choose from: Basic or Pro.
The Basic plan includes the core training experience:
- Step-by-step coaching
- Exercise tutorials and guidance
- Flexible scheduling
- Adaptive training and programming
- Milestone tracking
- Free program selection
The Pro plan includes everything in Basic plus:
- The ability to follow two programs at the same time (for example strength + mobility)
- Access to all upcoming features
Important: The pricing itself has not changed. Users who already have the previous subscriptions can simply continue using them as before. There is no need to cancel or purchase a new plan unless you choose to switch to the new subscription structure.
If you decide to switch to one of the new plans, please make sure to cancel your existing subscription first. Otherwise, both subscriptions may remain active at the same time, which could result in double charges. Once your previous subscription has been canceled, you can simply start the new Basic or Pro subscription.
This new system makes it easier to manage your subscription, switch plans when needed, and keep your training setup simple and clear.
Option to Skip the Warm-Up
We know that some users prefer to perform their own warm-up routine before starting their workout. To give you more flexibility, we added the option to skip the built-in warm-up if you prefer to warm up in your own way.
Before

Workouts always started with the warm-up sequence, without an option to skip it.
Now

You can choose to skip the warm-up and go directly into your workout.
While we still recommend completing the warm-up to properly prepare your body, this feature gives you the flexibility to start your workout in the way that best fits your training routine.
Improved Rest Screen Design
Rest timing is an important part of effective training.
Before

While the workout flow included rest periods, the rest screen was not always visually clear, making it harder to immediately recognize when a dedicated rest phase had started.
Now

The rest screen has been redesigned to make rest phases easier to recognize. When it’s time to recover between sets, the screen now highlights the rest phase with a green visual indicator, clearly signaling that it’s time to pause and prepare for the next set.
This improved design makes it easier to follow the intended rest timing and stay focused during your workouts.
Improved Video Compatibility
We’ve also made improvements to how exercise videos are delivered inside the app to ensure smoother playback across a wider range of devices.
Some users experienced issues where exercise videos would not load or play properly on certain devices. This was mainly related to differences in device performance and video playback capabilities.
We’ve optimized how videos are encoded and delivered in the app. These adjustments improve playback compatibility and help ensure that exercise videos run smoothly even on devices with lower performance.
For most users, the experience will feel exactly the same. But for those who previously had trouble playing videos, this update should make video playback much more reliable.
And This Is Just the Beginning
These updates are only one step in the ongoing development of the Cali Move App.
We are continuously working on improving the platform, adding new features, and making the training experience even more intuitive and personalized. Many of the improvements you see today come directly from feedback provided by the Cali Move community.
While we were able to implement many suggestions in this update, it was not possible to include all requested features yet. We are already working on additional improvements, and more ideas from the community will be implemented in future versions of the app.
Our goal is to make the app even more flexible, help you better define your current performance level, and deliver workouts that are increasingly tailored to your individual training needs.
If you ever have ideas or suggestions, we always welcome your feedback. Your input helps us make the Cali Move App better for everyone.
More improvements are already on the way.
